Product Description

Hawke Endurance ED Marine 7 x 42 Monocular with Compass

With BAK4 roof prism optical systems for more compact, modern, and lightweight optics than the industry norm, the Hawke Sport Optics Endurance 7x42 Marine Monocular with Compass helps you keep your target in view, even in rough waters. ED (extra-low dispersion) glass is utilized to reduce colour fringing, also known as chromatic aberration. The fully multi-coated lenses provide high-resolution images which ensure no details are lost when viewing at a distance. Effortless focusing and impressive depth of field make this monocular quick and easy to use. Water and fogproof with a high-grip rubber-coated body, Endurance is designed to battle the elements.

Water and Fogproof

Waterproof to IP67, the Marine Optic is not afraid of going overboard, even if you are. Purged and filled with dry nitrogen, it will not fog over in cold conditions or when you need it most.

Precision Focus Control

The precise and smooth focus control gives you full and total control of the image, ensuring you can see every detail.

Twist-Up Eyepiece

Twist-up eyepiece gives enhanced comfort and helps to block out unwanted light. Eyeglass users will normally need the eye cup twisted down. Users not wearing glasses should adjust the eye cup upward for optimum eye relief.

Stay-On Lens Cover

The stay-on lens cover helps to keep the glass clean and ready for use. The cover is tethered to the optic to ensure it is always on hand when needed.

Protective Carry Case

A hard protective carry and storage case guarantees your optic is always in pristine condition and can be stowed away neatly.

Understanding: Magnification

Understanding magnification, typically denoted by a number followed by an "x" (e.g., 8x42), is essential for choosing binoculars suited to specific activities like birdwatching, hunting, or stargazing.

Higher magnification offers a closer view but may sacrifice field of view and stability, while lower magnification provides a wider field of view and is generally easier to stabilize but sacrifices detailed observation of distant objects

Understanding: Field of View

Field of view refers to the width of the area visible through the binoculars at a specific distance. A wider field of view allows you to observe more of your surroundings, making it ideal for activities like birdwatching or sports events where tracking fast-moving subjects is essential.

Understanding: Objective Lens Diameter

The objective lens diameter determines how much light the binoculars can gather, directly impacting image brightness and clarity, especially in low-light conditions. A larger objective lens diameter results in brighter and clearer images, making it ideal for activities such as stargazing or wildlife observation at dawn or dusk. However, larger objective lenses also mean heavier and bulkier binoculars, which may not be suitable for all users, especially for long periods of use or travel.
