High portability, ideal for casual everyday shooting
The 40mm f2 is highly portable. Measuring approximately 45.5mm in length and weighing only 170g, it is small enough to always have handy in a camera bag or even in a coat pocket. The full-frame FX format makes this 40mm compatible with all Nikon Z-mount cameras including DX sensors. When mounted on a DX-format body, the lens will have a pleasing 60mm focal length equivalent. This prime focal length is highly versatile and suitable for a range of scenes, from portraits to landscapes, architecture to candid snapshots.
Fast f2 maximum aperture
Constructed with a fast f2 maximum aperture, this lens can express your creative vision even in low-lit environments. Fast and quiet autofocus
Nikon has adopted an STM stepping motor for the 40mm f2 lens. This internal motor delivers accurate autofocus control whilst maintaining a compact body size. This motor also makes it a well-considered lens for videography.
Control ring
