The VEO ED 10x50 is a well-balanced, lightweight, and durable carbon-composite binocular. It is 100% waterproof/fogproof and designed to take on challenging weather conditions. Extra-low-dispersion glass (ED) effectively reduces chromatic aberration and enhances colour resolution and contrast.

  • Carbon-composite construction is strong and durable, yet lightweight at just 780g
  • 10x magnification
  • 50mm objective lens
  • Extra-low dispersion (ED) glass
  • Phase-corrected Bak4 roof prisms
  • IPX 7 waterproof and fogproof
  • Three-stage twist-up eyecups
  • Premium Mitsubishi Rubber Armour
  • Oversized centre focus wheel
  • Dioptre for perfect focus in both eyes
  • Tripod-mountable with optional adaptor (BA-185 sold separately)

The VEO ED introduces a series of binoculars that exemplifies balance, precision, durability, and portability.

These full-sized Vanguard binoculars boast a carbon-infused housing, protected by premium Mitsubishi Rubber Armour, making them easy to carry, comfortable to grip, and dependable for years of use in the field.

Despite the lightweight nature of the VEO ED binoculars, they don't compromise on performance, featuring premium extra-low dispersion (ED) glass and fully multi-coated lenses to reduce chromatic aberration and deliver vivid, accurate colours to your eyes.

To ensure perfect focus for both eyes, there is also an easy-to-adjust dioptre for the right eye, ensuring perfect results.

See your subject in clear contrast and make easy adjustments to keep the focus on your subject with the ergonomic centre focus wheel.

Three-stage twist-up eye-cups let you perfectly customise the fit for your personal preference, ensuring precision and comfort every time you pull them up for a look.

Although VEO ED binoculars are designed to eliminate weight, they are equally built to withstand the elements. These IPX 7, 100% waterproof and fog-proof binoculars are there for you, whether you’re enjoying a perfect sunny day or braving the various challenges of nature.

Vanguard VEO ED binoculars come with a lightweight and comfortable neoprene bag for carrying at your side or packing away neatly in one of our premium travel bags.

In addition you get a comfortable neck strap to keep your optics close at hand when birding, scouting, or sightseeing, as well as protective covers for both the eye-piece and objective lens.

With the larger 50mm objective lens and higher magnification, they are designed to be used in low light conditions, such as observing the moon. With this in mind, to minimise the risk of shake, we would recommend using a tripod. Simply add the optional BA-185 Binocular Tripod Adaptor (sold separately) to mount your VEO ED binoculars onto any tripod quick release plate and eliminate hand movement, especially over longer periods, or just set up the binoculars to get closer to the birds in your own back garden.

You can also digiscope using a smartphone with the VEO PA-62 (sold separately) which fits almost any smartphone up to 90mm wide, and includes a Bluetooth remote control that can be used with IOS or Android smartphones.

Understanding: Magnification

Understanding magnification, typically denoted by a number followed by an "x" (e.g., 8x42), is essential for choosing binoculars suited to specific activities like birdwatching, hunting, or stargazing.

Higher magnification offers a closer view but may sacrifice field of view and stability, while lower magnification provides a wider field of view and is generally easier to stabilize but sacrifices detailed observation of distant objects

Understanding: Field of View

Field of view refers to the width of the area visible through the binoculars at a specific distance. A wider field of view allows you to observe more of your surroundings, making it ideal for activities like birdwatching or sports events where tracking fast-moving subjects is essential.

Understanding: Objective Lens Diameter

The objective lens diameter determines how much light the binoculars can gather, directly impacting image brightness and clarity, especially in low-light conditions. A larger objective lens diameter results in brighter and clearer images, making it ideal for activities such as stargazing or wildlife observation at dawn or dusk. However, larger objective lenses also mean heavier and bulkier binoculars, which may not be suitable for all users, especially for long periods of use or travel.
