Product Description

Celestron 10x50 Outland X Monocular With Smart Phone Adapter

The Celestron 10x50 Outland X Monocular is a great grab-and-go scope for any outdoor activity. With the smartphone adapter, you can capture anything you see in the field and share the images and video with friends and family instantly. Its portable size makes it perfect to stash in a pocket and take along for wildlife observation, sightseeing, hiking, sporting events, and more!

Coatings and Prisms:
The Outland X monocular features multi-coated optics. What’s more, the prisms inside the monocular are made of high quality BaK-4 glass so that more light is reflected off their internal faces and passes through to the eye. Taken together, the multi-coated lenses and BaK-4 prisms maximize light transmission for remarkably bright, highly detailed images.

The Body:
A durable housing protects your Outland X monocular from damage without weighing you down. Viewing through the Outland X monocular is comfortable for both eyeglass wearers and non-eyeglass wearers, thanks to the twist-up eyecup.

The monocular can stand up to even the toughest outdoor conditions; it is fully waterproof and filled with dry nitrogen gas to prevent internal fogging.

Perfect for a Variety of Uses:
The Outland X monocular features a close focus of just 8.2 feet, making it perfect for wildlife observers, travel/camping life, or viewing nearby subjects. For distance viewing, the model offers a wide field of view so you can easily follow subjects as they move with less need to move the monocular.

Understanding: Magnification

Understanding magnification, typically denoted by a number followed by an "x" (e.g., 8x42), is essential for choosing binoculars suited to specific activities like birdwatching, hunting, or stargazing.

Higher magnification offers a closer view but may sacrifice field of view and stability, while lower magnification provides a wider field of view and is generally easier to stabilize but sacrifices detailed observation of distant objects

Understanding: Field of View

Field of view refers to the width of the area visible through the binoculars at a specific distance. A wider field of view allows you to observe more of your surroundings, making it ideal for activities like birdwatching or sports events where tracking fast-moving subjects is essential.

Understanding: Objective Lens Diameter

The objective lens diameter determines how much light the binoculars can gather, directly impacting image brightness and clarity, especially in low-light conditions. A larger objective lens diameter results in brighter and clearer images, making it ideal for activities such as stargazing or wildlife observation at dawn or dusk. However, larger objective lenses also mean heavier and bulkier binoculars, which may not be suitable for all users, especially for long periods of use or travel.
