Join us for an inspiring evening with one of Wales’s most acclaimed photographers as Mo Hassan shares his journey, creative process, and internationally celebrated body of work.

This special seminar is brought to you by Carmarthen Camera Centre and promises an unforgettable deep dive into fine art and documentary photography on a global stage.


About Mo Hassan

Born in Alexandria, Egypt (1984), Mo moved to Wales in 2007 and has since become a powerful voice in contemporary photography.

He studied at the Carmarthen School of Art (2016) before completing his MA in Documentary Photography at the University of South Wales (2023).

Mo’s work has featured in prestigious exhibitions, including:

  • Facing Britain: British Documentary Photography since the 1960s

  • Shows across multiple venues throughout Europe

His photographs are held in major public collections, including:

  • National Museum of Wales

  • Government Art Collection

  • Glynn Vivian Art Gallery

  • Historic England

  • National Library of Wales

His first book was published recently, with work exhibited across Italy, Slovenia, Paris, and Spain.
