This National Geographic 50/360 Refractor Telescope is a fascinating introduction to the world of astronomy using coated optics for improved image quality.
The main lens is 50 mm which gives good levels of brightness while maintaining a compact size.
It will give a glimpse into the furthest reaches of our solar system, show craters on the moon and can even be used in the daytime for nature and landscape observations.
It comes with two separate eyepieces which alter the magnification from 20 x to 60 x giving celestial objects such as the moon an amazing new perspective. Mounted on a tripod, the unit is fixed with an azimuth mount which means that setting up and locating or tracking objects is quick and simple. The telescope also features an angled eyepiece adaptor which allows more comfortable viewing.
The unit is very compact and, with its folding aluminium tripod, it can be easily tucked into a bag or backpack for use while out and about or perhaps on holiday.
The National Geographic 50/360 telescope is designed to give many years of great service and for extra peace of mind, registering the purchase means that you have a FIVE-YEAR warranty.
