Featuring 33% more light-gathering capabilities than the 130P, and the same optics as the more expensive 150P EQ3-2, this ultra-compact telescope represents remarkable value for money.
A simple ready to go telescope straight out the box. No need to put the mount together as it's already done.
At only 33 inches high fully extended, suitable for placing on a tabletop or viewing while sitting on a low chair.
The flextube design collapses when not in use, so it can be easily stored away or placed on the back seat of a car.
An open tube body makes for easy access for blowing the dust off both mirrors.
The 150mm (6") f5 mirror is perfect for rich field star clusters, nebula and galaxies from dark sky areas. Also very capable of looking at craters on the Moon, the rings around Saturn plus the Moons and some cloud features on Jupiter. Venus will show its phases when in view.

Parabolic Primary Mirrors: Features High Quality Parabolic Primary Mirrors to eliminate spherical aberrations inherent in 'fast' focal length reflectors with spherical primary mirrors. The mirrors are parabolized to bring all the light rays to the same focal point to give sharp, contrasted images, which are full of detail.
Sky-Watcher Deluxe Mirror Coatings: Most reflectors today usually have a coat of aluminium as the mirror surface and then an overcoat of silicon monoxide or silicon dioxide to protect it. Silicon dioxide produces a much more durable coat than silicon monoxide but requires specialized equipment to apply it and is, therefore, more expensive. Protection is needed because in most reflectors, the mirror is open to the elements and deterioration of the reflective layer reduces the resolution of the telescope. ALL Sky-Watcher reflectors are Multi-Coated with Silicon Dioxide as standard for Optimum Durability and Long Term Performance.
"I have used a great number of telescopes; some are good, some mediocre and some bad. To me the Sky-Watcher range of instruments are very good indeed, and suited to amateurs of all kinds – and they are not priced out of the market! Excellent value.Sir Patrick Moore CBE FRS

The new Quattro series with their fast f/4 focal ratios, have been specially designed for high quality astrophotography with short exposure times. They are of course also fine telescopes for visual observations. Quattro 8" tube interiors have knife-edge ray traced baffles.
2" Dual-Speed Linear Power Focuser:The new linear power focuser utilises 4 precision ball bearings to support the drawtube and provide great stability and zero image shift while supporting a heavy eyepiece or camera. Moving the drawtube by the roller rather than a rack and pinion ensures exceptionally smooth operation, great feel and precise adjustability. The dual-speed feature has a second focus knob that has a 10:1 speed reduction to provide the super-fine adjustments even the most demanding users can appreciate.

"The Quattro's tube is lined with a set of nine internal baffle rings. Their main purpose is to cut down on stray light entering the telescope tube, helping to improve image contrast, but they also lend a bit of extra stability to the tube structure....The Quattro-8S is fitted with a Crayford-style focuser that performed well. It has tension adjustment, focus-lock and a 10:1 dual-speed fine focusing option, and also comes with a 2-inch fitting that has a T-thread on its external side. This allows a good connection to be made between scope and camera with the right adaptor ring....Visually, the Pleiades looked like diamonds hanging in space, with a hint of nebulosity visible around the brightest star Merope. The stars were generally crisp and sharp, with good colour on show. The scope is superb for imaging too, delivering shots that appeared to have higher contrast than the other scopes on test."
