The Sky-Watcher Heritage 100P is a 100mm (4 inch) f/4 parabolic tabletop Dobsonian telescope. It is a compact and lightweight scope which is ideal for viewing the Moon and bright planets and also has enough light gathering for the observation of star clusters, bright galaxies and nebulae. Wooden Alt-Azimuth tabletop mount. There is a 3/8 inch screw thread on the base which allows it to be attached to a suitable tripod. Comes complete with 10mm and 25mm 1.25 inch eyepieces, red dot finder and x2 barlow lens. Rack and pinion focuser. Weighs approx 2.8kg. All glass optics / lenses.

Parabolic Primary Mirrors: Features High Quality Parabolic Primary Mirrors to eliminate spherical aberrations inherent in 'fast' focal length reflectors with spherical primary mirrors. The mirrors are parabolized to bring all the light rays to the same focal point to give sharp, contrasted images, which are full of detail.
Sky-Watcher Deluxe Mirror Coatings: Most reflectors today usually have a coat of aluminium as the mirror surface and then an overcoat of silicon monoxide or silicon dioxide to protect it. Silicon dioxide produces a much more durable coat than silicon monoxide but requires specialized equipment to apply it and is, therefore, more expensive. Protection is needed because in most reflectors, the mirror is open to the elements and deterioration of the reflective layer reduces the resolution of the telescope. ALL Sky-Watcher reflectors are Multi-Coated with Silicon Dioxide as standard for Optimum Durability and Long Term Performance.
"I have used a great number of telescopes; some are good, some mediocre and some bad. To me the Sky-Watcher range of instruments are very good indeed, and suited to amateurs of all kinds – and they are not priced out of the market! Excellent value.
