• Colour and Contrast Enhancement: Polarizers provide colour and contrast enhancement. Reflected light often appears as a whitish glare that washes out colors. A Polarizer filter corrects this by producing deep, dramatically blue skies and removing glare from non-metallic surfaces like windows and water. Colour saturation, especially outdoors, is significantly improved—think of it as sunglasses for your camera.
• Circular Polarizer for Autofocus SLRs: A Circular Polarizer functions like a standard Polarizer and is used on cameras with beam-splitting metering systems commonly found on autofocus SLRs. (Refer to your camera manual for most 35mm autofocus cameras.)
