The FUJINON XF400mmF4.5 R LM OIS WR is a super-telephoto prime lens for the FUJIFILM X Series, designed to deliver exceptional reach and optical performance in a compact, field-ready design. Built for wildlife, sports, aviation, and long-range action photography, it combines high-end image quality with strong portability for handheld shooting.

Featuring a 400mm focal length (609mm equivalent in 35mm format) and a bright F4.5 maximum aperture, the lens provides strong subject isolation and reach while remaining relatively lightweight at approximately 1,245g. This makes it highly usable for extended outdoor sessions where mobility matters.

Optical Performance & Image Quality

The lens is built around a 21-element, 14-group optical construction, incorporating:

  • 2 Super ED elements

  • 4 ED elements

This advanced optical design reduces chromatic aberration and ensures high resolution and clarity across the frame. It is optimised for rendering distant subjects with precision, making it ideal for capturing fast-moving or far-away subjects such as birds, motorsport action, and aircraft.

Teleconverter Compatibility

The XF400mmF4.5 extends its versatility through compatibility with Fujifilm teleconverters:
