Product Description

PASSION™ HD products represent the absolute premium class from GPO. HD optics design combined with state-of-the-art multi-layer coatings creates optical excellence in transmission, the field of view, edge-to-edge sharpness, close focus and colour rendition. Thanks to our PASSIONdrop™ water-repellent coating, all optics are dirt and water-resistant.

The innovative micro bridge offers high quality and a very ergonomic design. The magnesium housing, coated magnesium bridge and aluminium rotating eyecups offer maximum robustness with minimum weight.

The diopter adjustment has been integrated into the central focusing wheel to ensure comfortable handling. If you do not want to compromise on the quality of your binoculars and are looking for an extremely fair price-performance ratio, you will find it here.
The models of the PASSION 8,5x/10x and 12,5×50 series have a magnesium body to offer you the best possible materials.

The rotating eyecups are made of solid aluminium to ensure robustness and precise adjustment. All in all, you get top-class binoculars at an unbeatable price-performance ratio.

Worth mentioning is the balance that also the high-magnification binoculars 10x and 12.5×50 have. Due to the optimized balance, the image unsteadiness has been reduced to a maximum. You will not notice that you are using a 12.5x magnification.

Understanding: Magnification

Understanding magnification, typically denoted by a number followed by an "x" (e.g., 8x42), is essential for choosing binoculars suited to specific activities like birdwatching, hunting, or stargazing.

Higher magnification offers a closer view but may sacrifice field of view and stability, while lower magnification provides a wider field of view and is generally easier to stabilize but sacrifices detailed observation of distant objects

Understanding: Field of View

Field of view refers to the width of the area visible through the binoculars at a specific distance. A wider field of view allows you to observe more of your surroundings, making it ideal for activities like birdwatching or sports events where tracking fast-moving subjects is essential.

Understanding: Objective Lens Diameter

The objective lens diameter determines how much light the binoculars can gather, directly impacting image brightness and clarity, especially in low-light conditions. A larger objective lens diameter results in brighter and clearer images, making it ideal for activities such as stargazing or wildlife observation at dawn or dusk. However, larger objective lenses also mean heavier and bulkier binoculars, which may not be suitable for all users, especially for long periods of use or travel.
