The Jobu Design Horizontal Mount Upgrade includes a vertical and a horizontal component, two 1/4” mounting screws, and a 5/32” Allen wrench. It upgrades the BWG-LW3 Lightweight MK III Gimbal to the BWG-HD3 Heavy-Duty MK III Gimbal. This kit converts the standard side-mount lightweight (quick-release mounted sideways) to a top-loading swing-arm.
The top-loading swing-arm improves the balancing characteristics of your gimbal by allowing for balance in the vertical direction. It also centres all your lenses as this function no longer depends on the height of your lens foot or diameter of the lens, making the gimbal more useful for panoramic photography. This upgrade is safe and quick to setup, and also improves the overall handling and use of the gimbal.
