The LEE85 System Medium-Edge Graduated Neutral Density Set from LEE Filters is a versatile set containing 1-stop, 2-stop, and 3-stop graduated neutral density filters that are compatible with the LEE85 System filter holder. Each filter within this kit helps to darken specific areas of an image, such as bright skies, while allowing for a normal, unaffected exposure in the other regions of the image. Each filter is densest at the edge and tapers to clear by the middle, with a medium-edged line of transition between the dense and clear areas. Medium-edge transition between the density and clear portions of the filter is suitable for photographing scenes with an apparent, but indistinct horizon or line between light and shadow, such as when rooftops, mountains, or trees protrude into the sky.
These filters are constructed from optical-quality resin for clarity and colour fidelity, and a padded pouch is included for storage and transport.
