The Leofoto G4ProM Four Way Geared Head is a precision tripod head designed for photographers who need exceptionally accurate camera positioning without sacrificing the speed of larger adjustments. Combining characteristics of a ball head and a traditional 3D tilt head, it allows the camera to move freely when required while also providing independent, geared control over individual axes.
This combination makes the G4ProM particularly well suited to landscape, architecture, interior, studio and product photography, where small adjustments to composition and alignment can make a significant difference.
Fast Adjustment with Geared Precision
With both the X and Y axes released, the camera can be repositioned freely for quick changes in composition. Each axis can also be controlled independently, allowing movements to be isolated when greater accuracy is required.
Once the locking levers are fixed, the G4ProM provides separate gear-driven vertical and horizontal adjustments, giving photographers fine control over camera positioning. Quick-release clutches allow you to switch between larger movements and precise geared adjustments without unnecessarily slowing down your workflow.
Designed to Maintain Your Perspective
The G4ProM positions the centre of rotation for its X and Y tilt movements in the same location. This keeps the pivoting radius particularly small, helping to maintain the chosen perspective when making fine adjustments.
A self-locking shock absorption system for the swivel function also helps compensate for the weight of the camera, providing greater control when repositioning heavier camera and lens combinations.
Dual Panning Control
In addition to its geared tilt adjustments, the G4ProM provides two separate panning controls. A 360° panning mechanism at the base can be used for camera alignment and conventional panoramic movement, while the upper clamp provides geared panning for much finer rotational adjustments.
This makes the head particularly useful when precise framing, alignment or panoramic positioning is required.
Accurate Levelling
Two integrated spirit levels are positioned at 90° angles beneath the upper panorama adjustment, providing a clear reference when levelling the camera. Their positioning also helps keep them visible when working with the tripod at a lower shooting height.
Combined with the geared controls, this makes it easier to achieve accurate horizons, verticals and carefully aligned compositions without repeatedly repositioning the tripod itself.
