Its compact body is easy to carry throughout the day, while the Micro Four Thirds system gives you access to an extensive range of small prime lenses, versatile zooms and specialist optics. Start with a simple everyday setup and expand the system as your photography develops.

Create Your Own Signature Look

Dedicated Colour and Monochrome Profile controls let you shape the appearance of your photographs in-camera.

Individual colours, contrast, highlights, shadows and grain can be adjusted to create anything from bright travel photographs to subtle cinematic colour or characterful black-and-white images. Your chosen look can be applied as you shoot, allowing you to concentrate on the moment rather than spending hours editing afterwards.

Profiles can also be saved and shared through the OI.Share app, making it easy to experiment with new looks or maintain a consistent visual style across a series of images.

20.4MP Live MOS Sensor

The 20.4MP Four Thirds Live MOS sensor delivers detailed photographs with natural colour and plenty of resolution for printing, cropping and everyday creative work.

Paired with the TruePic IX processor, it supports responsive performance, advanced autofocus and OM SYSTEM’s computational photography features in a remarkably compact body.

The built-in Supersonic Wave Filter also helps remove dust from the sensor whenever the camera starts, reducing the risk of unwanted marks appearing in your images.

Powerful 5-Axis Image Stabilisation

Built-in 5-axis sensor-shift stabilisation provides up to 5.5 stops of compensation at the centre of the frame.

This reduces the effects of camera shake when photographing handheld, making it easier to capture sharper images in low light or use slower shutter speeds without immediately reaching for a tripod. Because the stabilisation is built into the camera, it works with a huge variety of compatible Micro Four Thirds lenses.

It also helps produce smoother handheld video while keeping your kit compact.

Fast Phase-Detection Autofocus

A 121-point all-cross-type phase-detection autofocus system provides fast and dependable focusing across the frame.

AI-powered subject detection recognises people, dogs and cats, helping the camera locate and follow the subject while you concentrate on composition and timing. Face and eye detection further simplify portraits, family photography and everyday moments.

Autofocus modes include single, continuous, tracking and manual-focus options, with customisable target areas for greater control.

A Viewfinder for Real Photography

The built-in 2.36-million-dot OLED electronic viewfinder lets you compose comfortably in bright sunlight and provides a more immersive connection to the scene.

Unlike previous compact PEN models without a viewfinder, the new PEN gives photographers the choice of composing at eye level or using the rear screen. Exposure, colour profiles and creative effects can be previewed before the photograph is taken.

Vari-Angle Touchscreen

The 3-inch vari-angle touchscreen can be repositioned for high, low and front-facing compositions.

Touch focusing and touch-shutter operation make it easy to react quickly, while the articulating design supports discreet street photography, creative low-angle images, self-recording and vertical content.

Capture Fleeting Moments

The PEN can shoot at up to 30 frames per second using its electronic shutter, with focus and exposure fixed from the first frame.

Pro Capture can continuously buffer images while the shutter button is half-pressed, then save frames from immediately before the button is fully pressed. This is particularly useful for pets, wildlife, children and other subjects where the decisive moment is difficult to predict.

The electronic shutter also provides speeds up to 1/32,000 second, making it possible to use bright lenses at wide apertures in strong daylight.

Creative Video in a Compact Camera

Record detailed 4K video at up to 30p or Cinema 4K footage at 24p. Vertical video support makes the camera suitable for social content, while dedicated Still, Video and Slow & Quick Motion controls simplify switching between formats.

OM-Log400 preserves a wider tonal range for colour grading, while OM-Cinema1 and OM-Cinema2 profiles provide distinctive cinematic looks with less post-production.

A 3.5mm microphone input allows compatible external microphones to be connected for improved sound quality. The camera can also function as a webcam through its USB connection.

Compact Enough for Everyday Life

Measuring approximately 125.8 × 74.5 × 43.3mm, the PEN is compact enough to become an everyday companion rather than a camera left at home.

It weighs around 393g with the battery and memory card installed, or approximately 344g body only. Pair it with a small Micro Four Thirds prime or compact zoom for an exceptionally portable system suited to travel, street photography and daily life.

Weather-Resistant Construction

The PEN is the first model in its series to offer dust- and splash-resistant construction. Its IPX1 rating provides added reassurance when photographing in light rain or unpredictable conditions.

A compatible weather-sealed OM SYSTEM lens must be fitted to maintain the camera system’s stated level of weather protection.

Stay Connected

Built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connect the camera to a compatible smartphone through the OI.Share app.

Photographs can be transferred for quick editing and sharing, while camera profiles can be explored, saved and exchanged through the Profile Library. Remote control also makes group photographs, self-portraits and tripod-mounted shooting easier.

BLS-7 Battery

The new BLS-7 rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides approximately 410 photographs per charge according to CIPA testing.

USB charging allows the battery to be replenished inside the camera when the power is switched off, while USB power support provides additional flexibility during extended sessions.
