Create Your Own Signature Look

Dedicated Colour and Monochrome Profile controls allow you to shape the appearance of your images before pressing the shutter.

Individual colours, contrast, highlights, shadows and grain can be adjusted to create anything from vibrant travel photography to subtle cinematic colour and characterful black-and-white images.

Profiles can also be saved and shared through the OI.Share app, making it easy to experiment with new styles or develop a consistent look across an entire project.

Detailed 20.4MP Images

The 20.4MP Four Thirds Live MOS sensor produces detailed photographs with natural colour and sufficient resolution for printing, cropping and online sharing.

Working with the TruePic IX image processor, it provides responsive performance, advanced autofocus and access to OM SYSTEM’s computational photography features.

A Supersonic Wave Filter helps remove dust from the sensor whenever the camera starts, reducing the risk of visible marks appearing in photographs.

Powerful 5-Axis Stabilisation

Built-in 5-axis sensor-shift image stabilisation provides up to 5.5 stops of compensation at the centre of the frame.

This helps reduce camera shake when photographing handheld, allowing sharper images in low light and greater freedom to experiment with slower shutter speeds. Because the system is built into the camera body, it provides stabilisation with a wide range of compatible Micro Four Thirds lenses.

It also supports smoother handheld video without requiring a large or complicated setup.

Fast, Intelligent Autofocus

The PEN uses 121 all-cross-type phase-detection points for fast and accurate focusing across the frame.

AI-powered subject detection recognises people, dogs and cats, allowing the camera to identify and follow the intended subject while you concentrate on timing and composition. Face and eye detection further simplify portraits, family photography and candid images.

A selection of autofocus-area options and tracking modes provides additional control for more experienced photographers.

Built-In Electronic Viewfinder

Capture the Moment Before It Disappears

The electronic shutter supports continuous shooting at up to 30 frames per second, with focus and exposure fixed from the first frame.

Pro Capture continuously buffers images while the shutter button is half-pressed, then saves frames from immediately before it is pressed fully. This can make the difference when photographing pets, wildlife, children or other unpredictable subjects.

An electronic shutter speed of up to 1/32,000 second also makes it possible to use bright lenses at wide apertures in strong daylight.

4K Video and Creative Movie Profiles

The PEN records detailed 4K video at up to 30p and Cinema 4K footage at 24p.

Vertical video recording is ideal for social platforms, while dedicated Still, Video and Slow & Quick Motion controls make switching between formats straightforward.

OM-Log400 preserves a wider tonal range for colour grading, while OM-Cinema1 and OM-Cinema2 provide distinctive cinematic looks with less post-production. A 3.5mm microphone input also allows a compatible external microphone to be connected for improved sound.

Easy Wireless Sharing

Built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connect the camera to a compatible smartphone through the OI.Share app.

Photographs can be transferred for editing and sharing, while colour and monochrome profiles can be explored, saved and exchanged through the app’s Profile Library. Remote camera control also makes self-portraits, group photographs and tripod-mounted shooting easier.

All-Day Creative Freedom

The BLS-7 rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides approximately 410 photographs per charge according to CIPA testing.

USB charging allows the battery to be replenished inside the camera while it is switched off. USB power support also provides greater flexibility during longer shooting or recording sessions.
