The backpack is suitable for most non-gripped mirrorless and DSLR cameras measuring approximately 13cm in height when used with a compatible Shimoda Mirrorless Core Unit. This makes it a practical choice for photographers who want dependable equipment protection without carrying an unnecessarily bulky pack.

Expandable Roll-Top Storage

A roll-top opening allows the backpack’s storage capacity to expand or compress according to the demands of the day. Keep it compact when carrying a lightweight setup or extend the compartment to accommodate clothing, food and additional outdoor equipment.

Adjustable Shoulder Harness

The Action X30 v2 features adjustable and interchangeable shoulder straps, allowing the carrying system to be configured for a more secure and comfortable fit.

Two zipped pockets built into the shoulder straps keep important items close at hand. Depending on the item’s size, these pockets can accommodate a large smartphone, compact water bottle, snacks or other frequently used accessories.

The supportive waist belt helps distribute heavier loads across the body and can be removed when carrying lighter equipment or using the backpack around town.

Flexible External Equipment Storage

Multiple external attachment points provide flexible storage for tripods, trekking equipment, skis and other bulky items. Durable TPU compression straps offer additional resistance to wear when attaching demanding outdoor equipment.

Two removable pouches can be used to carry a tripod, water bottle or similar accessory. These pouches can be mounted on the sides of the backpack or transferred to the waist belt, placing essentials such as lenses, drinks or snacks within easy reach.

When they are not required, the pouches can be removed completely to reduce weight and create a cleaner profile.

Removable Helmet Holder

The included helmet holder allows a mountaineering, skiing or cycling helmet to be secured to the outside of the backpack. This preserves valuable internal storage space while keeping your helmet conveniently accessible between activities.

A luggage-handle pass-through allows the Action X30 v2 to be secured to compatible wheeled luggage, making it easier to move through airports, railway stations and other busy environments.

A hidden AirTag sleeve provides a discreet location for an Apple AirTag, helping you keep track of the backpack while travelling. The included rain cover supplies an additional layer of protection when weather conditions deteriorate.

Core Unit Compatibility

This product is supplied as a backpack shell and does not include a padded camera insert. A compatible Shimoda Core Unit must be purchased separately to organise and protect cameras, lenses and other sensitive equipment.
