The Sigma FP2 with EVF-21 Electronic Viewfinder combines full-frame photography, advanced cinema recording and flexible eye-level viewing in a compact, adaptable system. Featuring a 24.5-megapixel partially stacked CMOS sensor, intelligent subject-detection autofocus and 6K OpenGate recording, the FP2 gives photographers and filmmakers the freedom to build a setup around the way they shoot.

This kit includes the Sigma EVF-21 Electronic Viewfinder, adding a detailed 5.76-million-dot OLED display, an eye sensor and a tilting mechanism for comfortable composition at eye or waist level. Together with the camera’s tilting touchscreen and dedicated STILL/CINE switch, it creates a versatile setup for photography and filmmaking.

Full-Frame Image Quality with Speed to Match

At the heart of the Sigma FP2 is a 24.5MP full-frame partially stacked CMOS sensor, delivering fine detail, rich colour and smooth tonal gradation. From portraits and landscapes to everyday photography, it provides the flexibility to capture subtle textures and work with challenging lighting.

The sensor’s high-speed readout helps reduce rolling shutter distortion and supports continuous shooting at up to 20 frames per second. Capture bursts of up to 200 JPEGs or 180 DNG RAW images at this speed, giving you more opportunities to catch a fleeting expression or fast-moving subject.

For greater flexibility when editing, the FP2 records 14-bit losslessly compressed DNG RAW files, with simultaneous RAW and JPEG recording also available.

EVF-21 Electronic Viewfinder Included

Designed exclusively for the Sigma FP2, the included EVF-21 provides a clear, detailed alternative to composing on the rear monitor. Its 0.5-inch OLED panel with approximately 5.76 million dots offers high resolution and brightness, helping you assess framing and focus while keeping your attention on the subject.

The viewfinder connects to the camera through a single USB-C port and can be attached or removed as your setup changes. Its tilting mechanism angles upwards by up to 90°, allowing comfortable viewing at eye level or from lower shooting positions.

An integrated eye sensor and supplied large eyecup add convenience and comfort, making the EVF-21 a useful companion for photographers who prefer composing through a viewfinder.

Intelligent Autofocus for People, Pets and Wildlife

The FP2 combines image-plane phase-detection and contrast-detection autofocus for responsive, accurate focusing. Single AF, Continuous AF and Tracking AF let you tailor the camera to your subject, with manual focus available whenever you want direct control.

Subject recognition identifies people, dogs, cats and birds, while Eye AF helps maintain focus on the most important part of your subject. Improved autofocus speed, accuracy and low-light performance support shooting across a wide range of conditions.

For manual focusing, focus peaking and magnification make it easier to check critical sharpness when working with shallow depth of field or carefully composed scenes.

Explore Sigma’s Distinctive Colour Modes

Give your photographs a distinctive look with 13 colour modes, accessed through the dedicated Colour button. Developed using Sigma’s colour science, these presets provide a straightforward way to shape the atmosphere of your images in camera.

Choose Standard for natural rendering, explore the softer character of Powder Blue, add warmth with Warm Gold, or experiment with Teal and Orange. Further options include Rich, Calm, Forest Green, Sunset Red, Cinema and Monochrome, alongside FOV Classic Blue and FOV Classic Yellow.

Flexible Composition with a Tilting Touchscreen

Alongside the included electronic viewfinder, the FP2 features a 3.15-inch touchscreen with approximately 2.1 million dots. The monitor tilts 90° upwards and 45° downwards, making it easier to compose from low viewpoints, above head height or at waist level.

This combination of a tilting screen and removable EVF gives you the flexibility to choose the viewing method that suits each situation.

The camera’s dust- and splash-resistant construction also offers reassurance when shooting outdoors, although it is not waterproof.

A Dedicated Cinema Camera at the Flip of a Switch

A top-mounted STILL/CINE switch instantly changes the FP2 between photography and filmmaking. Each mode has its own interface and functions, keeping the controls relevant to the way you are working.

Its compact body suits discreet documentary filming, travel projects and use within larger production setups. Add the accessories your shoot requires while retaining the portability that defines the fp series.

6K OpenGate Recording for Flexible Framing

Record 6K OpenGate video using the full sensor area, providing more freedom to adapt footage to different aspect ratios. A single recording gives you greater flexibility when producing widescreen video, vertical social content and alternative crops.

The FP2 supports 6K recording at up to 59.94fps, alongside 4K at up to 59.94fps and 4K at up to 119.88fps in crop mode. For RAW workflows, ProRes RAW and ProRes RAW HQ support recording up to 6K 29.97fps.

Electronic image stabilisation is available for video with supported recording settings, helping steady handheld footage. It is unavailable during 6K recording.

Greater Control over Exposure and Colour

With up to 14.1 stops of dynamic range when recording 4K full-frame L-Log, the FP2 captures a broad range of tones for flexible grading. Its highlight headroom helps retain detail in brighter areas when working with high-contrast scenes.

Support for Leica L-Log, alongside ProRes RAW, H.264 and H.265 recording options, allows you to choose a workflow that suits your production and editing requirements.

Built-in exposure tools include waveform monitoring, histograms, zebra patterns and false colour, helping you assess brightness and make informed exposure decisions while filming.

Advanced Audio Options

The FP2 supports 32-bit float audio recording with the required optional accessories, offering greater flexibility when recording quiet sounds and sudden changes in volume.

This capability requires the HU-21 hot shoe unit and the Panasonic DMW-XLR2 and DMW-DMS1, as specified by Sigma. The camera also provides a built-in stereo microphone, a 3.5mm external microphone input and USB audio support for additional recording options.

Director’s Viewfinder and Anamorphic Support

The Director’s Viewfinder function simulates the framing of supported cinema cameras, making the FP2 useful for location scouting, shot planning and checking compositions before filming.

Supported systems include models from ARRI, Sony and RED, including the Sony VENICE 2 and BURANO. Anamorphic desqueeze display options help you assess framing when working with compatible anamorphic lenses.

For those who also want a magnified view of the rear monitor, the separate optional LVF-21 LCD Viewfinder blocks surrounding light and helps with checking focus and composition.

Internal Storage and Practical Connectivity

Alongside its UHS-II SDXC card slot, the FP2 includes approximately 70GB of high-speed internal storage. This provides useful additional capacity and allows recording to continue when the memory card becomes full.

Compatible portable SSDs connect through USB 3.2, offering another storage option for demanding recording workflows.

The camera features two USB-C ports. The included EVF-21 connects to the USB 2.0 port, while the separate USB 3.2 port supports functions including compatible external storage. A full-size HDMI Type-A connection and shared 3.5mm microphone/timecode input provide further flexibility for production use.

The supplied BP-91 battery is rated for approximately 370 still images or 130 minutes of video recording, with actual endurance depending on settings and use. USB Power Delivery provides an additional power option for longer sessions.
