SmallRig HawkLock Quick Release Cage Kit for Canon EOS R6 Mark III / R6 Mark II 5957

Build a more versatile filming setup with the SmallRig HawkLock Quick Release Cage Kit 5957. Combining a dedicated camera cage, HawkLock top handle and HDMI & USB-C cable clamp, this kit adds comfortable handheld operation, accessory mounting options and quick transitions between shooting configurations.

Designed for the Canon EOS R6 Mark III and R6 Mark II, the cage provides a secure foundation for expanding your camera with monitors, microphones, lights and other filmmaking accessories.

Comfortable Handheld and Low-Angle Shooting

The included HawkLock quick release top handle provides a convenient grip for carrying your rig and filming from lower viewpoints. Its ergonomic shape and silicone padding help maintain a comfortable, secure hold during handheld work.

The quick release connection makes the handle easy to attach or remove when adapting your setup for transport or a different shooting position.

HawkLock Quick Release System

Integrated HawkLock interfaces simplify rig changes, helping you spend less time assembling equipment between shots. The cage incorporates an H21 quick release NATO rail and H38 Arca-Swiss quick release plate, providing connections for compatible accessories and support systems.

Move between handheld shooting, a compatible tripod and supported DJI RS stabilisers while keeping your camera within the cage.

Secure Camera Mounting

The cage secures the camera using a ¼″-20 base screw and two side locating blocks, helping prevent twisting during use. Built-in silicone pads cushion contact points and help protect the camera body from scratches.

This secure fit provides a dependable foundation when handling the camera with additional accessories attached.

Mounting Options for Your Accessories

A wide range of mounting interfaces allows you to configure the cage around your shooting requirements. Attach a monitor for easier framing, position a microphone close to the camera or add a compact light for location filming.

Mounting options include:

• ¼″-20 threaded and locating holes for compatible accessories.

• ⅜″-16 threaded holes and ARRI locating holes for secure accessory mounting.

• NATO rails for compatible handles and clamps.

• Cold shoe mount for suitable microphones, lights and accessories.

• QD attachment points and strap slots for compatible carrying options.

HDMI and USB-C Cable Support

The included HDMI & USB-C cable clamp helps hold connected cables securely, reducing movement and strain at the camera ports. A thumbscrew fastening allows convenient installation and adjustment.

For Canon EOS R6 Mark II users, the included cable clamp is not compatible; the SmallRig 2981B cable clamp is required separately.

Ready for Tripod and Gimbal Work

The integrated Arca-Swiss quick release base supports compatible Arca-type tripod systems and selected DJI stabilisers, including the RS 2, RSC 2, RS 3, RS 3 Pro, RS 4 and RS 4 Pro.

This makes the kit useful for productions that regularly switch between supported and handheld camera movements.

Not compatible with the DJI RS 4 Mini. Gimbal use remains subject to payload limits, lens choice and balancing requirements.
