SmallRig Side Handle with Rec Trigger (1/4"-20 Screws) 4928

SmallRig Side Handle with Rec Trigger (¼″-20 Screws) 4928

Control recording without taking your hand off the grip with the SmallRig Side Handle with Rec Trigger 4928. Combining a built-in recording button, an ergonomic silicone grip and 43mm of vertical adjustment, it provides a comfortable way to operate your camera during handheld filming.

Designed for left- or right-handed use, the handle attaches to a compatible cage using two ¼″-20 screws. Supplied control cables enable recording control with selected Sony, Canon, FUJIFILM and Panasonic cameras, helping you start and stop takes without reaching for the camera body.

Recording Control at Your Fingertips

The integrated recording button lets you trigger recording directly from the handle, keeping camera control within easy reach.

This helps you maintain your shooting grip when starting or stopping a take, reducing the need to reposition your hand or disturb your composition. Simply connect the appropriate supplied control cable to a compatible camera.

Comfortable Silicone Grip

The ergonomically shaped grip features anti-slip silicone for a comfortable, secure hold. The silicone surface also provides a more comfortable contact point than exposed metal when working in cold conditions.

The side-mounted position gives you an additional gripping point for controlling your rig during handheld filming.

Configurable for Either Side

Adjustable connecting components allow the handle to be configured for use on the left or right side of your camera cage.

This flexibility lets you arrange your setup around your preferred shooting hand, access to camera controls and the position of other accessories.

43mm of Vertical Adjustment

The handle offers 43mm of vertical adjustment, allowing you to position the grip to suit your camera’s centre of gravity and your preferred hand position.

Adjusting the height is particularly useful when changing your rig configuration, helping you retain comfortable handling as lenses and accessories are added or repositioned.

Secure Two-Screw Attachment

The supplied adapter attaches to a compatible cage using two ¼″-20 screws, helping prevent the handle from twisting during use.

This provides a secure connection for handheld operation while allowing the handle to be removed or repositioned when your setup changes.

Accessory and Wrist Strap Mounting

A built-in cold shoe mount accommodates compatible accessories such as a microphone, compact light or monitor mount.

A wrist strap attachment point provides an option for adding a compatible strap, including the separately available SmallRig 3848, for additional reassurance when handling your camera.
