Product Description

Swarovski 8x30 CL Companion Binocular - Green with Wild Nature Accessory Pack

With phase-corrected roof prisms and enhanced optical coatings, Swarovski's black 8x30 CL Companion Binocular delivers high-contrast images with accurate true-to-life colour and virtually zero distortion across the entire field of view. Its relatively low 8x magnification produces a wide 372' field of view that, coupled with the optical performance, produces an immersive visual experience with greatly reduced visible hand-shake versus higher-power optics.

Styled and engineered with an ergonomic profile, a non-slip focusing wheel, and individually adjustable twist-in eyecups, they offer a comfortable viewing experience for long observation sessions. This version of the Companion includes a standard field bag, shoulder strap and wrist strap in addition to two objective lens covers and an eyepiece rainguard.

Swarovski's SWAROBRIGHT phase-correcting coatings applied to their premium roof prisms eliminate colour fringing and aberrations for enhanced colour fidelity and contrast, while their SWAROTOP coating on the other optical surfaces enhances light transmission and viewing accuracy.

The outer lens surfaces are further coated with Swarovski's SWARODUR which improves scratch resistance and allows oils, saps, and water to bead off which not only helps to keep the surfaces clear, it makes cleaning them easier.

The CL Companion utilizes a compact and thin bridge construction with thumb depressions on the underside of the binoculars for steady, balanced viewing comfort. This trim form factor is relatively light and small enough to pack and travel with ease. Its black non-slip full rubber armouring provides shock resistance, the optical tubes are nitrogen filled to prevent internal fogging and makes them submersible to 13 feet.

Understanding: Magnification

Understanding magnification, typically denoted by a number followed by an "x" (e.g., 8x42), is essential for choosing binoculars suited to specific activities like birdwatching, hunting, or stargazing.

Higher magnification offers a closer view but may sacrifice field of view and stability, while lower magnification provides a wider field of view and is generally easier to stabilize but sacrifices detailed observation of distant objects

Understanding: Field of View

Field of view refers to the width of the area visible through the binoculars at a specific distance. A wider field of view allows you to observe more of your surroundings, making it ideal for activities like birdwatching or sports events where tracking fast-moving subjects is essential.

Understanding: Objective Lens Diameter

The objective lens diameter determines how much light the binoculars can gather, directly impacting image brightness and clarity, especially in low-light conditions. A larger objective lens diameter results in brighter and clearer images, making it ideal for activities such as stargazing or wildlife observation at dawn or dusk. However, larger objective lenses also mean heavier and bulkier binoculars, which may not be suitable for all users, especially for long periods of use or travel.
