The Vanguard Alta Pro 3X 304CLBPS is a professional-grade carbon fibre tripod kit designed for photographers who need maximum stability without unnecessary bulk. Built for stability and heavy-duty performance

This tripod is engineered to support serious camera setups, with a 25kg load capacity that easily handles pro DSLR or mirrorless bodies paired with large telephoto lenses. Despite its strength, it remains highly portable at just 1685g, making it suitable for long hikes and travel-based shoots.

The 30mm 4-section carbon fibre legs provide excellent rigidity while keeping weight low, and three selectable leg angles allow you to adapt quickly to uneven terrain or low-angle compositions.

Fixed base design for maximum rigidity

Unlike traditional tripods, the Alta Pro 3X uses a fixed base plate instead of a central column, allowing the head to mount directly to the legs. This improves stability and reduces flex, especially when working with heavier equipment or in windy conditions.

Even without a centre column, the tripod still reaches 150cm maximum height, while dropping to just 17.5cm minimum height for low-level shooting.

For added flexibility, a detachable telescopic centre column is included. When fitted, it adds extra height, extending the maximum working height to 182cm.

Professional ball head control

The included Arca-compatible dual-axis LBP-55S ball head is designed for precision and smooth operation. Its CNC-machined construction ensures reliable movement, while dual 360° pan axes allow for fast levelling and accurate panorama work.

With an oversized 40mm ball and dedicated friction control, the head supports up to 25kg, matching the tripod’s overall load capacity and ensuring smooth handling even with heavy camera setups.

Travel-ready design

Despite its strength, the Alta Pro 3X is designed with portability in mind. It folds down to just 61cm, with a slim 8.5cm diameter, making it easy to carry in hand or pack into a backpack. A premium padded carry bag is also included for protection during transport and storage.
