On the 4th of July, we welcomed the incredibly talented Glyn Dewis to Carmarthen Cameras for a live, behind-the-scenes look at his studio portrait photography workflow. The session delivered a masterclass in lighting, posing, and post-processing—all brought to life with our very own Krish Nagar as the model.

Glyn kicked things off by walking us through his gear and lighting choices, sharing real-world techniques that are as effective as they are accessible. From background selection to light positioning, every decision had a purpose—and Glyn explained it all with clarity and warmth.

With Krish in the spotlight, Glyn demonstrated how to guide your subject naturally and confidently. Attendees saw how to build trust, give direction, and capture genuine expression—essential skills for any portrait photographer.

The session moved seamlessly into the editing phase, where Glyn revealed his post-production approach using Adobe Photoshop. From subtle retouching to advanced techniques, he showed how to refine a portrait while keeping it authentic and true to character.
